Treatment of Asthma

Once again I'm writing about a disease that touched my life. I had asthma since I was very little. I actually don't even remember when it first began, it seems as if I always had it. In my case it never grew into anything serious though there were times I had to take bronchodilators, I was never dependent on them the was most people with asthma are. The main reason for that is because I simply wouldn't use them unless I absolutely had to. Asthma medications are very addictive, your body simply can't function without it if you had taken it for too long. Respiratory system doesn't know how to work itself because medication was doing it for so long. It's like muscle that becomes weak and can't do it's work because it wasn't used. To Take care of this problem you first have to take care of asthma.
One fact many people don't know is that asthma is not chronic. It used to be under the umbrella of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) but it has been excluded from it leaving only chronic bronchitis and emphysema under this umbrella term. The reason Asthma is no longer COPD is because it is no longer considered to be chronic. When I was learning about asthma in college we were told that some patients simply got better and got cured for no apparent reason. Well, things don't just happen. Just because doctors don't know why or don't want to know why doesn't mean there is no logical explanation. Allergy is the most common cause of asthma and if allergy can be stopped, then so can asthma. Basically it all comes down to poorly functioning immune system which is the cause of allergy as well as all other auto immune disorders. Once immune system is back in balance, all the troubles are gone. When I first thought about using alternative medicine to help my asthma I did some research and found out that vegetarian diet showed to help in more then 90% of cases. Reason for that is because animals are treated with antibiotics and hormones. These chemicals end up staying in the muscles of the animals and when we eat meat, they get into our bodies too. Constantly having them introduced into our bodies disrupts normal flora and our own hormones. All of this ends up causing immune system imbalance. After thinking about it for a while and doing some more research I decided to become vegan as these same hormones and antibiotics are very likely to be present in milk and eggs. Milk also increases mucous production and it is one of the major problems for asthma patients, so excluding it is more of a must if you really want to get rid of your asthma. Although I decided to make the step towards vegan life style I understand that many people would find it very difficult, although Dr. Bernard says "yes, people might think eating a vegan diet sounds hard - but ending up on dialysis and going blind is what is hard" when he argued for vegan diet in treatment of people with type 2 diabetes. If you think you absolutely can not go vegan, instead of not doing anything at all try at least switching to animal products from animals that were not given antibiotics and hormones and were fed their natural diet (grass fed). Remember, we were created to live in nature, we adopted to nature, nature knows what is best for us and the closer we stay to her, the better our health will be. Try staying closer to nature in what you eat, think what can happen in nature and what can not. Belive me, animals dons just eat antibiotics and growth hormones in the fields and you definitely will not see cows chopping up their fallen brothers and eating them, they are herbivorous, they eat grass, not other cows.
After I switched to vegan diet my asthma slowly diminished to the point of non existence. Until a few days ago that is. I spent a few hours in the apartment that was flooded and has black mold all over because of the flood. Mold brought my asthma back. You must watch what you inhale, even if you don't have asthma, there are things that can hinder your breathing. I learned my lesson. My breathing is better now, but I can feel it even after a few days passed. If you are constantly in the environment that can trigger your asthma, whether it's mold, dust, pollution or any other cause you need to find a way to minimize it's effect on you and to get it out of the system faster. I personally have tried a supplement called "clear lung" and it worked really well, it's basically a lung cleanser that helps remove things that are not supposed to be in your lungs.
I hope this will help many of you.
Yours Armada Volya
